Great question. Yes, it negates the benefit of painting the page early. For what it’s worth, we do have customers using Target who choose to load the Launch library asynchronously and NOT use the snippet the hides the page. They get the flicker, but from their perspective it’s worth the cost to get some content in front of the user as fast as possible. It’s a subjective decision based on what you want the experience to be.
